Following a legal standoff this morning, popular South African musician Makhadzi agreed to pay P21 000 and committed to performing at two future music festivals organised by promoters she ditched last minute in September.
The P21 000 is cost of Sheriffs and legal counsel.
What was supposed to be a normal performance for popular South African musician Makhadzi turned sour when sheriffs pounced on her after her performance at Gaabo Motho Music festival in Moshupa on Christmas morning.

Organisers of the music festival she missed back in September in Maun are suing her for P713 000. The organizers Unami Thato Moseki and Nandi Flame Ventures got a court order on December 23 to have Makhadzi imprisoned if she didn't pay what she owes. According to an insider, organisers wanted Makhadzi to sign an agreement that she will pay the cost of Sheriffs, which is about P18 000 and also pay costs of legal counsel which is P3000.
The organizers also wanted Makhadzi to perform at their two future shows instead of paying the 713 000 suit. For hours in the better part of Christmas day, there was a standoff as Makhadzi didn't want to sign.

But in the end according to the insider Makhadzi ended up agreeing to the terms, because the alternative was jail time. Efforts to get hold of Makhadzi and Moseki for comment proved futile at press time.
Meanwhile through her official Facebook account, Makhadzi refuted the legal drama, "I can see allegations of me being arrested, to all my fans please stop entertaining the lies, no Police came to arrest me and I haven’t received any papers.
